FIRE IN WELLINGTON.
ACCIDENT TO A BOARDER

WELLINGTON, Tuesday
Afire took place at 3.19 this morning, in Ingestre-place, when a fiveroomed house, occupied by Henrietta Lockerbie, was seriously damaged. The fire spread to adjoining houses occupied by James Liddell and Beatrice Davis. The house of the former—a building of five rooms—was badly damaged on the first floor by fire, aud the bottom floor was damaged by water. The other, of eight rooms, had a side wall and a bedroom and coutents badly damaged by fire, and the lower rooms by water.
Mrs Lockerbie's furniture was insured for £150 in the South British Office, aud Liddell's for £100 in the Commercial Uuion, while Davis' was uninsured. The houses, owned by Miss Emma Siddells, were insured in the Commercial Uuion for £1350, £200 and £250, respectively. A labourer named James Wallace, a boarder at Lockerbie's, jumped from an upper storey window, and fell on a picket fence, breaking two ribs. He was r.moved to the Hospital.
