Magnificent weather favoured the Victoria Racing Olub for Oup day. The attendance was enormous.

The committee of the V.R.O. entertained a distinguished compauy at luncheon, including Lord and Lady Dudley, Sir Thomas Carmichael arid Lady Caruiichael, Lord ami Lady Ghelmsford aud Sir Harry Barrou. From a good start Artillerie, who hail the inside berth next the rails, was first away, Alawa almost immediately following, then canio Carl Dour, Post Towu, Nuslika Trelo Vouui, aud Trafalgar. Passiug the stands Nushka aud Trelo Vouui assumed commaud from Eric, Trafalgar, Korriuga, Gaby, Uugario. Lord Nolan aud Danilo were last, as they left tha straight behiud. Prince Foote then shot out, aud amidst terrific cheering, won decisively by three leugtns. There was a very keeu struggle for second place, Alawa having ouly a head advantage from Aberdeen. Trafalgar was fourth, then came Flavel, Nnshka, Dauilo, with all the others close up. Idyll was the last to finish. Time, 3min 27>£sec.
