THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The Foresters' Hall was well filled oil Saturday evening, when Messrs Thompson and ir"ayue presented an entire change of programme. The new subjects are. well up to the standard of perfection already established by this enterprising firm. "Heard Over the 'Phone," was the first picture shown, and proved a fine dramatic study. An extremely interesting subject followed —viz., "Tame Animals at Work." "A Romance in Life" gives a fine dramatic story of love and poverty. "Gingerbread," a laughable comedy subject, caused great delight to the children in attendance. "The Adventures of au Ardent Liover" caused great laughter and sympathy for the pair of lovers who were constantly being interrupted by the irate father. "Logging iv Canada" gives a good insight into the timber industry iv this fine country. The "Star" picture of the evening is a beautiful dramatic study taken from Victorieu Sardou's famous play "La Tosca. ,s Madame Sarah Bernhardt appears as Floria. A unique subject is that of ; "Bleriot making his flight across the Euglish Channel." Every incident is shown iv a very vivid manner. "A Trip Across the Canadian Rockies" is a fine scenic subject, showing this fine range clad in snow. "The Would-be Champion," "Henley Regatta," "Bertie Buys a Bulldog," and several others make up a fine programme. The present programme will be repeated to-night.
