There died at Ngaruawahia last week, at the age of sixty-five, Tehi Rahi, a chief of the Ngatimahuta and Ngatiwhenuuga. When the trouble occurred between King Maliuta and Tupu Taingakawa, the deceased chief was appointed to the vacant premiership, an office which he had held for somo three years. After ihe taugi, which is expected to be very largely atteuded, the remains will be deposited in the royal burial-ground, ou Taupiri Mountain.
