A RHYMED WEDDING.
According to a Mexican newspaper, { John Stobie, a Wellstou . Magistrate, united a negro couple with this ceremony :—• "Jim, will you take Bet Without any regret, To love aud to cherish Till oue of you perish And is laid under the sod, So help yon God?" Jim having given the usual affirmative auswor, Judge Stobio turned to Bot :— "Bet. will you take Jim Aud cling tc him, Both out and in, Through thick aud thin. Holding him to your heart Till death do you parr?" Bot modestly acquioscod, aud the newly-marriedcouplc were dismissed withthis benediction :— "Through life's alternate joy aud strife [ now prououueoyou man aud wife; Treat her with care, provide the diuuer. Now salute your bride, you dusky sinuor!"
