Election Campaign. TO THE ELECTORS OP MASTERTON. LADIES AND GENTLEMENIn offering you my services as Member of Parliament for this important electorate, I fully appreciate the responsibility of representing this growing district. IE returned, I shall spare no effort in advancing the interests <>f nil sections of the community. This Electorate is not receiving fair treatment with regard to acquiring land for settlement. The result, is that those of our farmers' sons, who are at all ambitious, are compelled to find land outside the district. We want more producers, and my policy will bo to secure land for these sterling young settlers. Last yoar 114,000 acres were settled in the Wairarapa Electorate, ns against tbe small area of 072 acres of Crown Lands in Masterton. lam in favour of Freehold. This is tbe only tenure that will encourage our settlers to fully improve their holdings. We all participate in the greater wealth that is produced from highly improved hind. I pledge myself to spare no effort in getting a railway through to Pougaroa. This work ought to have been carried out years ago. Yours obediently, JOHN HUNTER. TO THE ELECTORS OF MASTBBTON. LADIES AND GENTLESVBEP-— J have represented you in Parliament for eighteen years. Believing that I still have your confidence, I again oll'er you my services. You have honoured me, and the Liberal principles which I profess, with splendid majorities at six consecutive elections. I trust to sec the old Liberal Hag for tbe seventh time triumphant on 17th November next. You have ever recognised my public services with such kindness and i generosity that 1 feel sure that they are safe in your hands. I see no reason why the wonderful progress of the past eighteen years should not be continued in the future if Liberals are true to themselves and to their policy. I Yours faithfully, A. W.
