A NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRY.

For the past three years Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills have been manufactured in New Zealand and we believe they are the only purgative pills on the market that are made in this country by the proprietors. Most other pills are made by manufacturing chemists and sold in bulk to the speculative pill companies to be boxed and labelled. We take no chance of this kind with Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills, and we know that the formula does not vary one-hundredth a grain. We also know that the ingredffls are up to the standard, both in strength and quality. The crude material is imported direct being ground by our own machines in our American laboratory, where the greatest care is observed in the selection of the Roots and Gums from which this crude material is made. We have in Wellington (New Zealand) an up-to-date plant for the manufacture of these pills, and the process is carried on under the direst supervision of the proprietors.

Maokersey. Mrs Gilruth and Mrs Geo. Pearco are also home again, after a month ac Rotorua. Mrs Frank Leckie, much better, lias come back from Palmerston. Miss Nelson, from Aunklaod, is with Miss Ooates. Mrs Riley has gone to Christchuroh. News has been received of the marriage of Miss Hilda Fulton, daughter the late Lieut.-Oolouel Fnltou, to Bohm, of Bexhill, England. Mrs Boyd, wife of ;Dr Boyd, invited a number of friends last Thursday morning to see some most exquisitely painted china, the work of Miss Iso Macgregor, of Huuterville. The designs are various, delicate, aud most artistic, aud the paintings are beautiful. All sorts of things were shown, toilet brushes, a parasol Handle, vases, dinner and tea sets, oveu buttons painted with dainty miniatures. The foundation of all is white china, got from Bavaria, and fired by Miss Macgrogor herself. If there is onough encouragement, Miss Macgregor may form a class in Welingtou next year. She learnt in Sydney from Miss Snowball, who studied in Dresden.
