THE, ' ' ■ ■ REV. MR WHITEHOUSE, Vicar of Ashburton, will deliver , a Lecture in MASTERTON on Thursday Evening Next (NOVEMBER sth) on "The Truth About Ashburton and No-License." In an Address at Christchurch recently Mr Whitehouse said : " I DEFY ANYONE TO SHOW ME A HOME IN ASIIBURTON WHERE LIQUOR ENTERS TO-DAY WHERE IT DID NOT ENTER IN LICENSING DAYS. (Applause.) Mr Whitehouse opposed No-License before it was carried, but since he has witnessed ids splendid results ho has become one of the strongest advocates of the Reform.
