Mr aud Mrs W. MoGuire, of Martinborough, have left for a six weeks' Holiday in Australia. Mr and Mrs J. S. Young and family wore passengers by Friday afternoon's express from Featherston en route for Greymouth, where Mr Young will take up the duties of stationmaster. Prior to leaving Featherston, Mr Young was the recipient of a purse of sovereigns and a set of silver mounted brushes respectively from the residents of the district, aud tho staffs of the Post Office and Railway Station. Olson, luglewood, 227 lbs, 2. The last two guesses were a tio, each being three pouuds different from the exact weight, aud in the draw off Mr Olseu won.
