FLOWERS FOR THE HOSPITAL.

|to the editor. 1

Sir,—For the last five weeks I have been a patient in your local Hospital, during which time I have seen daily and hourly the great kindness and attention exhibited by the nursing staff to the patients. These ladies take the very greatest interest in all that appertains to their often far from pleasant duties. I have, however, often heard them complain that they have riot sufficient flowers for the wards, and express the hope that "somebody will bring some to-day." I am sure that were this fact generally known, the nurses would in future .have no cause to lament on this account, and therefore ask you to kindly insert this in your valuable columns. I feel sure it will give you as much pleasure to insert this as it will other /people to send flowers now when they Jkow that such will be greatly apprepiited, both by nurses and patients.— I am, etc., JOHN F. GRIFFITH.
