The shareholders of the Eketahuna Terminating Building Society assembled at Wise and Knight's rooms on Friday, in connection with the third annual meeting of the Society, Mr E. Jackson. occupying tho olmir. Several members expressed their opinion that tho balance-sheet should have beeu circulated and a oopy sent to oaoh member, and ie was resolved that tho adoption of same should be hold over until this hud been done. Tho mooting was adjourned until Friday, 20th November. An appropriation of two sums of £150 by ballot was then hold, and Mr Thos. Knight, of Eketahuua, was tho fortunate recipiout. The report; stated that the total amount appropriated to date is £1(550, of winch tho sum of £220 15s lias been repaid, leaving a balance owing of £1429 ss, against which the Socitoy holds good securities. The orodit balauco in Profit aud Loss Account is £12(5 Via 4d, being a profit on each share of S)s 8d storliug. Messrs Wise, Passan aud Kitcat resigned from tho directorate during tho year, aud Messrs Viggors, Riohaids aud Nolsou took their places. It will bo nocossary to oloct four directors. Mossrs Viggors and Richards offer thomselvos for ro-olootiou.
