RIFLE SHOOTING.

OPAKI CLUB'S SECOND COM

PETITION.

The Opaki Rifle Club completed the second trophy match ou Saturday, which had been deferred from the previous Saturday ou account of bad weather. The meteorological conditions ou Saturday were not at aii favourable to good shooting ; the wind was choppy aud the light bad, making good shooting at the selected ranges— 800 yds and MOOyds—a very difficult matter. Rifleman G. Hyde was; the winner, putting on 58 at* the two ranges off the rifle, which must be regarded as a satisfactory result on such a day. Rifleman R.
