IMMORTAL WEST COASTERS.

Mr Hogg, M.P. for Masterfcon, in the House receutly declared that. he himself was no West Coaster—wouldn't be for worlds, though some excellent specimens of humanity came from those parts. He declared that it is impossible to kill a West Coaster; they die. They are uot always to be trusted in doing that last office of mortality. Mr Hogg declared that he knew of au instance at a general election ou the Coast—not so long ago, either —wherein the sitting member was hard pressed. A man who had been dead for three years forgot the fact aud turned up at the ballot-box to vote tor the member iv question. While he was relating this incident, Mr Hogg, M. P., was observed to look hard at the Speaker, aud to positively wink. When the Mastertou flood of humor, had subsided, the Speaker solemuly rose, aud said that lie could vouch for every word that Mr Hogg had said. The West Coaster.is obviously an immortal.
