Mr E. J. Jackett, the brilliant fullback in the British football team, has accepted a position in the New Zealand Tourist Department. It is understood that he will take up his duties immediately after the conclusion of the tour in Australia. Mr Jackett, avlio is a native of Cornwall, represented his county on the football field from 1898 uutil 1908, with the exception of the year 1901, aud he has played for on no fewer thau ten occasious. He has also Held the cycling championship of Cormvall since 1898.
