MARAINANGA ESTATE.

During the holidays a number of people from various parts of the Dominion have inspected the Maraiuanga estato and all of them appear to be very favourably impressed with the country, which, at the present, time is looking remarkably well. The property is to be submitted to public auction at Wellington on Wednesday, loth iust., and when the quality of the laud and the terms offered are taken into consideration, a successful sale should result. The plan shows that the blocks on the whole are on the large side, consequently the original purchasers will have the advantage of re-selling at the enhanced price in value which is bound to accrue from the results of closer settlement, especially when the estate gives the man with limited capital opportunity of obtaining laud at a reasonable figure and later ou reaping the benefit of his own industry and labour. The country throughout is particularly well watered, aud is capable of carrying two sheep to the acre. We are given to understand that the reserves placed on the various sections are only nominal as the owners are determined to realise.
