About five hundred men are affected by the wharf labourers' strike at Port Pirie, where the men demand an eight-hours day, and half-a-crown an hour for ordinary work and "Is 3d for wheat carrviiiii.
The employers oiler an eight-hours day and Is 3d an hour after the first two hears, but refuse to pay for i: smoke-oh."
