About !ho middle of November four men were arrested and charged with being concerned in a series of incendiary fires at Croydon, one of tho outbreaks involving a loss of £30,000.
Tho men havo now been sentenced to terms of imprisonment ranging from three to eight years. They confessed that they were the authors of tho fires.
