Competition was strong and the market firm at to-day's wool sales. Last week's closing rates were maintained. Greasy sold up to 133 d.

Melbourne, This Day.
The wool sale was animated and competition good for all classes. Both merino and crossbred advanced a farthing to a halfpenny under strong American competition. Greasy merinos and crossbreds sold to 15} d, crossbred lambs 15;Jd. These prices constitute records for the season.
