THE NEWCASTLE PHENOMENON.
(Received To-day, 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. No further movement is noticeable on Shepherd's Hill, at Newcastle. The subsidiary reservoir has emptied, and is so badly damaged as probably to be unfit for further use. A weak spot has been discovered in the Sea Pit Mine, and the men and horses have been withdrawn.
