Satisfaction at the Porte's Surrender. Friendly Co-operation of French and German Ambassadors. (Received To-day, at 5.55 a.m.) Cairo, Last Night. The garrison at Alexandria was paraded in order to impress and reassure the people. General satisfaction is expressed at Cairo at the Porte's surrender. M. Constans, French xVmbassador, made representations to tho Grand Vizier, of his own initiative, to support Britain ; then, on behalf of M. Bourgeois, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, told Tewfik to inform the Sultan that he joined Sir Nicolas O'Connor, British Minister at Constantinople, in protesting against the occupation of Tabah. M. Herr Breberstein, German Minister, followed M. Constans' example, producing a gre.it impression in Turkish circles.
