PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC.

The annual picnic in connection with the Presbyterian Sunday School was held on Thursday in the grounds of Messrs Miller Bros. There in the clear spaces, under the shade of beautiful patches of native bush, a most enjoyable day was spent. Games and sports of all kinds were indulged in, " tho young contending as tho old surveyed," until evening approached, when all sat down to tea. The Superintendent, Mr Bruce, then awarded the prizes won during the year to the following scholars :—First class, boys: Oscar Savage, 1; Heath Stewart, 2; Hugh McKenzie and Allisler McKenzie, specials. Girls: Grace. Cobb, 1; Minnie Bannister, 2. Second Class, boys : John Mojo, 1; Henry Moje, 2. Girls: May Stewart, 1 ; Evelyn Barber, 2. Third class (boys and girls): Willie Nightingale, 1; Elma Wakeman, 2. Before dispersing cheers were given for their teachers and for Messrs Miller Bios.
