Wheat, 3s 6d ; oats, 2s 3d ; barley, 3s ; maize, 4s ; flour, £10 (for sacks); straw chaff, 355; oaten sheaf, new, 755; pollard, £5 10s; bran, £4 10s. Grass seeds : rye (Hawke's Bay) 6s 9d to 7s, Southern 4s Gd to 5s 3d. Potatoes, £11 10s to £12, according to quality.
Butter, 7d to Bd, factory lOd to lid; cheese, sid ; eggs, Bd.
These prices are wholesale buying, and apply to this district only, unless otherwise stated.
