(By Telegraph—-Press Association.) Wellington, Last Night, The Council met at 2.30 p.m.

The Canterbury Agricultural College Reserves Bill, the Government Advances to Settlers' Bill, and the Waikaka Branch Railway Bill were put through their final stages. workers' dwellings. Tho Attorney-General moved the second reading of the Workers' Dwellings Bill, and explained tho measure at some length on the lines of tho Ministerial speech in the House. The Hon. F. Trask would not oppose the Bill, but he approved the Building Society system as a superior on?. He thought it was a very risky undertaking on tho part oE a workman to lease a house and land without'being sure of his employment. The Hon. R. Reeves complained of the crude draughtsmanship of the Bill. The Hon. J. Rigg suggested that tho Bill be sent to the Labour Bills Committee.
After further discussion the debate was adjourned, and the 'Council rose at 5 p.m. until 11 a.m. next day.
