ALLEGED THEFT.

(By Tclajraph — Press Association.) Auckland, Last Night.

A young woman, named Lily Young, was charged, before the Stipendiary Magistrate, to-day, with stealing £30 in money, and jewellery valued at £36 8s Bd, from the dwelling of Margaret. McKay, on October 14th. She was remanded on bail.

A town traveller for Heather, Robertson and Co., named William Oldham, was arrested this morning by Detective Hollis and charged with fraudulently omitting to account for the sum of £20 Is 6d, which he had received on behalf of his employers.. Accused was remanded on bail, in two sureties of £50 each. Chief Detective Marsack informed the Magistrate that there was a possibility of further charges being laid against accused.
