The Medical Conference carried resolutions affirming that the use of X-rays, radium, and the Finsen Light should be under the direct supervision of medical men, owing to the complex and sometimes dangerous symptoms produced by those agents. That school hygiene should form a compulsory subject of training for State school teachers. That a system of medical inspection in State schools should be instituted, the unethical medical profession to grant interviews with the lay Press on medical matters in connection with which their names are allowed to appear.
