Mr Donne's Visit

Likely to Produce Advantage

eous Kesults

( By Telegraph — / 're** Associutton.)

Wellington, This Day,

Mr T. E. Donne, head of the Tourists and Commerce Departments, has returned today from his visit to America and Britain. The main object of his trip was to secure the co-operation of the American and British continental manufacturers in carrying out the International Exhibition at Chris tchurch.

Interviewed by a / W reporter Mr Donne gave details of amount of success he had met with. Generally speaking, he says, he has every confidence that the representation will be thoroughly characteristic of all the countries through which he has travelled. He is greatly impressed with the desirableness of further advertising the Colony abroad. He thinks the present is a favourable time for offering facilities to British farm folk to come to the Colony, owing to the shortage of lands in Britain for the rising generation. lie has definite recommendations to make to the Government on this point.
