GET OUT OF THE RUT.

Thousands of men breathe, move aud live, pass off the stage and are heard of no more. They have lived—they have died. It was their object in life—they have accomplished it--an aimless, irresponsible existence.

Arc you going to be one of these ? or are you going to adopt for your advancement the methods and force that are at your disposal, and work Avith ceaseless activity to bring about an end that will proclaim you to be a leader among men, one who has mastered the diflicullies that face all men, and risen by sheer inherent force ? Get in and Dig. Let this be your cry. The man who carries this for Ms motto is he that acquires strength, which in these days of keen rivalry, must be of the most virile kind if success would be attained.

Enquire into every method that will assist you, every medium that will bring you knowledge. Abstract the salient points and systematically apply them to your position, moulding it so that it is subjected to an evolutionary growth, which all things require that gain power and fame.

Seize your opportunities when they come to you ; apply them when you need them. You cannot reach your object in life unless it is one of courageous working and steady application for the accomplishment of the end that you have marked out as your goal and your place in the work ol men. Get in and dig. Have done with slipshod assistance, slovenly indifference and unwillingness. Concentrate your mind to your purpose, and strive with all your might to fulfil it.--From " Method."
