Although the Japanese gunners outside Port Arthur could only see tho tops of tho masts they hit the Russian ships 130 times, and destroyed many junks used to bring provisions into the port. The Russians have now abandoned their efforts to re-tako 203 Metre Hill.
Captain Clado, one of the Baltic fleet officers detailed to givo evidence before the Dogger Bank Commission, writing to the Novoc Vrcmya, says that the Baltic fleet has not a lighting chance against Admiral Togo.
