ARBITRATION COURT.

Py Telegraph — Press Association'),

Wellington, Last Night.

Before the Arbitration Court, on Saturday, judgment was given in a charge of breach of an Award, brought against the Union Steamship Company by the Wellington section of the Seamen's Union". The case arose through a charge for overtime on behalf of two trimmers on the steamer Mupourika, on October 25th, 1903. The vessel arrived in Nolson roadstead too early for the tide, and was accordingly anchored, consuming the minimum of coal and calling upon tae men for the minimum of work. The Court considered that the steamer was still on her voyage during waiting hours. It was not to bo assumed because the vessel was within the limits of a port, as defined by an Order in Council, that she was therefore in port. The case was dismissed, with costs and expenses.
