The water thrown upon the fire was instantly vaporised, and, rising in the cold, dry air, was immediately condensed and fell as snow. What with bright starlight and a strong north west wind blowing, the whirling snow above and the raging fire below, a brilliant spectacle was presented.
THE WOULD NEEDS YOU The world has need of men of ideas, and is ree,dy to encourage such men, for the exclusive right to a good idea is readily granted. If you have any notion that is worth while, that has money in it, secure a monopoly for it by taking out a Patent; but do the right thing. The proper course for the person with a good idea is to seek the advice and assistance of Baldwin and Bayward, Patent Agents and Consulting Engineers, National Chambers, Wellington.' Write for the booklet '• Patents," or " Hints to Inventors," to be had for the asking.
