DANGER OF TINNED FOODS.
From time to time we (Science Siftings) have warned our readers against certain classes of tinned foods, and especially with regard to salmon preserved in this manner. It is certainly a pity that " packers" and merchants cannot adopt means which would ensue the salmon being wholesome and the tinning being properly performed. Quite recently, at Btalybridge, a man was after partaking of some tinned salmWTand five other persons rendered seriously ill. One of the witnesses at the inquest said thac he had himself examined three tins of salmon, and that two of them were bad. Until some improvement is made we would strongly advise our readers to refrain from eating such food.
