With the river metal they wove using it was ituposible to make better road?, and when they had spoken-of procuring machinery to crush metal they had met with general opposition. Mr Daniell said he was still dissatisfied. Lincoln-road especially was in a very discreditable state, and in wet weather was a sea of mud.

Mr Holmes referred to the street

Mr Elliott said that if the sweeper was used so often as some people would like, the would soon sweep the whole of the metal off the road.
