The Rurik was lost to view during a running fi«ht northwards of .lessen. They were surprised when Admiral Kauaiißura's fire suddenly ceased.
The Rossia was struck eleven times below and near tne water-line, and the Gromoboi six times. 133 th vessels' losses include 50 p2r cent, of their officers and 25 psr cent. oE their crews. The Gromoboi had 13j killed and 007 wounded.
