Tho British footballers, on their arrival from Onehunga to-day, were met by a larga crowd and were accorded an enthusiastic reception. They had an extremely rough trip from New Plymouth and several members of the team were completely prostrated. The official reception has been adjourned till to-morrow.

New Plymouth, Last Night

The " gate " at the football match yesterday amounted to about £750, of which £300 was paid to.the New Zealand Union. The attendance totalled about 9000. ,

McMinn's injuries are not so severe as was at first feared. He is able to walk about to-day.
