OPPRESSED FINLAND.

The Recent Assassination.

(Received Last Night, at 10.5 p.m.) H'v. Petersburg, Yesterday. The Czar attended General Bobrikoff's

funeral.

A letter found in Schaumann's pocket reminded the Czar of the assassin's loyalty and his feelings regarding the breach of pledges given at the Czar's accession. He stigmatised General Bobrikoff and M. Plehve as liars who had caused the abrogation of Finnish rights and liberty. A copy of the letter was previously sent to a friend for transmission to the Czar.
