Murderer Strenuously Resists

Sydney, This Day.
With regard to the Picton murder, Harradin an Assyrian hawker, has confessed to the murder, saying he quarrelled with Smith, who said he was no good. Harradin resisted capture strenuously. The first shot fractured his left arm, and the second entered his thigh.
