Greytown Stock Sale.
Messrs F. IT. Wood and Sons, Ltd., held their sale at the Greytown yards yesterday (Thursday). There was a large entry of both sheep and cattle, and a good attendance of buyers. As has been the rule at late sales, lambs and young ewe 3 were in good demand, but aged and inferior ewes were neglected. The bulk of the yarding was cleared under the hammer, and good business was done privately. Fat and forward ewes sold at 12s od; ewes and wethers, 12s 3d ; 2-tooth ewes, 10s 8d ; sound breeding ewes, 9s lid to 10s 9d; good lambs, 8s 3d to 9s 3d; springing cow, _£6 10s ; calves, £1 10s Od ; gelding, £9.
