THE QUEEN AS A PHOTOGRAPHER.

A Singular Discovery.

The members of the Royal Family set an excellent example in the pains they take to secure, not so much their own, but others' safety. A notable instance of this was furnished by Queen Alexandra a year or so ago. While snapshotting in East Anglia, she took a view of a train passing over a railway bridge at Wolferton. The negative showed a remarkable curve in the bridge. Imagining that there might be a fault in the development, Her Majesty took a picture of another train passing over the bridge. The curve was there without a doubt, and a bad one, too. Her Majesty showed it to the King, who seat engineers to examine the bridge. The result was that the framework of the bridge was found to be in a highly dangerous condition. Her Majesty's discovery had been made just in time to avert a tragedy.
