Carlton "A" v. Star.
Only two men (Lomas and Melville) put in an appearance at the Carlton-Star match, which was concluded yesterday. The Stars' score stood at 15 for five wickets, to which Melville added five (not out) and Lomas three. E. Welch and Fraser went in for Carlton, who required only nine runs to win. Fraser was bowled by Melville for two runs, and Styles, who went in next, compiled six (not out). Welch made one (not out), the game thus resulting in a win for Carlton by nine wickets.
