Points for Championship.—New South Wales, three points; Victoria, iwo points; New Zealand, one point; Queensland, nil. The meeting is being continued to-day, and Simpson, who was unwell and was only a spectator on Saturday, hopes to be able to compete in the three mile event. (Received To-day, at 12.20 a.m.) Melbourne, This Day. The attendance increased considerably during the afternoon. Pollock's great exertions in the mile race heavily handicapped him for the quarter-mile, in which he was blocked twice. He states he feels well, and anticipates winning the half-mile on Monday. Ross feels in a state of collapse after the three-mile walk. Simpson is improving rapidly. Laurie slipped while jumping twice, and this somewhat unnerved him. Smith won the hurdles magnificently, and was greatly applauded by the crowd, who were absolutely impartial. The ground was somewhat dead after the recent rains, and no new records were established. Though entered, none of the competitors competed at the A.N.A. Sports on Saturday night. On Sunday the visitors were present at a picnic as guests of the Victorian Association.
