ARBITRATION COURT.
Prosecution of Employers.

The Arbitration Court sat on Saturday to take evidence in connection with au application by the Bakers' Industrial Union of Workers, of Wellington, and the employers, to have the award, when made, extended to the country districts. Decision was reserved. Evidence was also taken as to alleged breaches of the award with regard to tho employment of timber workers by a local sawmill proprietor. Francis Bethel, saddler, Hastings, and John McVay, saddler, Napier, were 'fined £2 and costs, £2 2s, for employing youths not indentured. For employing more apprentices than are stipulated in the award, McVay was fined £5 and £2 £2$ costs.
