■ -♦ — , ■ General Committee. The first meeting of the ncwly-elooted Committee of the above Association was held in Messrs Lowes and lorns , office on Saturday afternoon. Mr W. Perry was in the chair, and there was a goo d attendance of members. Messrs N. W. Albortsen and J. Youngsen wrote forwarding their resignations as members of the Association. Mr C. H. Smith was asked to interview Mr Albertsen, The resignation of Mr Youngeen was accepted. The Mastorton Mounted Rifles made*?** application for use of the Show Grounds and some of the buildings thereon for one week for an encampment. The application was granted, the corps to pay £5 rental, and horses not to be allowed to wander over the grounds. Committees were appointed as followe: Finance Committee—Messrs G. C. Suniruerell, D. Guild, and J. D. Oruickshank; Ground Committee—Messrs C. H. Smith, F. jMpore, ,T. Hessey, D. McGregor, W. McKenzie, J. Stuckey, and W. D. Watson; Luncheon Committee—' Messrs I, Sykes, J. McGregor, and F. C. Lewis; Bam Fair Committee—Messrs D. J. Cameron and F. Hill; Paddock Accommodation Committee—Messrs B. Gray. W.. D.- "Watson, F. 0. Lewis, and J. B. McKenzie; Printing Committee— Messrs G. C. Summerell and J. D. Cruickshank. Accounts amounting to £40 2s 4d were passed for payment. The Finance Committee reported the financial position as follows:—Credit balance, June 30th, 1903, £2 15s 9d; receipts for month, i>22 7s; total jG2S 2s 9d; expenditure for month, £1 10s; total, j£23 12s 9d, plus cheques ing, i>44 4s lid, leaving a credit balance ?""' per Bank pass book ol £67 17s Bd.
