PING-PONG.

The membership of the Masterton Ping-Pong and Social Club is very satisfactory, and continued interest is being evinced in the game. A " ladder system" is being started among the Club's members on Monday night, in order to find out the Club's champion player, and awake interest amongst the members. This system is a novel idea, and should become very popular. It is intended to make every Wednesday night a tournament night for members of the Club. A large tournament in the Drill Hall, similar to that so successfully carried out last year, is mooted, and should mott with the same success as its predecessor. Members of the Ping-Pong Club are particularly requested to roll up for practice at the Club's room in view of outside matches, which are being arranged. The Club's first team will play the Devonshire House team, thin evening, at 8 p.m., which ladies and gentlemen are cordially invited to witness.
