" Nemo."—Baron Ilalsbury is an eminent jurist. He was called to the Bar at the Inner Tomplo in 1850, becoming Q.C. in 1.505. He was engaged in most of the celebrated trials of his time, including the Ovcrend, Guerney and the Tichborne cases. Ho was created Baron Ilalsbury on his elevation to the Woolsack in 188 3, and Viscount Liverton and Earl of Halsbury in 1898.
