TRUTH

Not in my way, nor in your way, Does the cause of Truth march on ; Yet each ago has moro of progress Than tho ages that havo gono ; And from its inverted shadow Wheels the earth into tho dawn. Often, by the storms of passion We aro torn and tempest-tossed ; Often do our plans miscarry, Oft our purposes aro crossed ; Oft wo bow our heads in anguish — Orying out that all is lost. Hut the morrow breaks in glory, And the morning suushino smiles, Gleaming off into the distance, Unto goldon afterwhilcs ; Where the Future glints and glistens Over Fortune's happy isles. Hack of our short-sighted wisdom Stands tho thought Omnipotent; Hack of all our puny scheming Waits the forc-urdatucd event ; Oft what seems to us an ovil Is a blessing heaven-sent. Hod is reigning ; and His justico Will prevail, whato'er betide ; There are silent, unseen forces Unto Truth that aro allied ; And tho legions of the angels Aid us from tho other side. Not in my way, nor in your way, Conies "tho triumph of the right; But resisllessly as morning Steals on tho reluctant nightTill the air is filled with music, And the world is tilled with light. There arc voices from tho Silence, Soft as sweep of seraph's wings ; From tho secret soul of being God's eternal mandato springs ; And tho world moves on for over To the goal of better things. — Denver News.
