In the House of Commons, the Government negatived the proposed harbour dock on the eastern side of Gibraltar on the ground of great expense, and would not yield adequate results in Imperial defence.
The Eight Hon. E. W. Hanbury has the Butter Adulteration Bill. lB Michael Porter has introduced a Bill allowing, under future engagement, a portion of twelve years' service in the navy to be completed in reserve, extending the limits of a number of the reserve, and enrolling naval reserve volunteers as blue-jackets, stokers and as volunteers. In connection with the mariners all are liable to serve anywhero during war time.
