BOWLING.
Thoro was a good attendance of both bowlers and visitors at the Masterton Club's green yesterday afternoon. Some interesting play was witnessed during the course of the afternoon. Refreshments were kindly provided by Mesdiimcs Pragnell and Rigg.
In t ho Levin trophy competition Messrs W. Limbic, Johnston, J. C. Ewington, W. Etiri-c (skip), beat Guest, Ytitc'S, R. Rigg, and E. McEwen by 'A~> to 11. Tim holders of the Feathers, Messrs E. E. Chamberlain, E. McEwen, J. C. Kwington and G, Townsend were challenged and defeated by T. Crcsssvcll, I!. Kigg, A. MeEwcn, and F. pupru (.skip) by 28 to 14. In the Championship Singles P. Gordon defeated J. Carpenter by '25 to 11, and in the Handicap Singles A. Mutrie beat H. T. Wood by '21 to 18. Other matches played resulted as follows :—P. Gordon, jun., Burton, Htssey, J. P. Elliot (skip), '2!j; Yatctf, llucston, Lambie, Richards, 11).

Yesterday was an ideal day for bowling, and the Carterton green was well patronised. The third round of the teams medals matches was played with the following results : —
