Further details of the arrest of Myra Taylor, show that she took passage from Paoroa to Auckland by tho boat. Tho police only arrived four minutes beforo tho boat sailed, and found her in tho smoking-room. At iirsfc she denied her identity, and thon equivocated.
When sho saw that arrest was iuovitable, sho took a bottle of laudanum, three parts full, out of her pockofc; but it was
secured,
A rcvolvor was found under a cushion n tho smoking-room, and sho had £16
in her possession. She still wears male costume in the cell, having no women's clothos with her. She said she had nothing to eat for three clays.
Tho woman appears to be in a stato of high nervous tension.
