There is an outbreak of ruflianism in Paris. The "Hooligans" are fighting each other, and rob bing pedestrians. Some of them using lassoos.
"While shunting, a locomotive collided a train full of refugees at JohannesJtt&. Several women and children were killed.
Owing to tbo miners' strike, the Directors of the Staveley Coal Union Company ftave given the wliqlo of their 10,000 employes a week's notice.
