NEW ZEALAND PRODUCTS AT HOME.
The Agent-General has cabled as follows to tho Agricultural Department under date London, August 25th : —"The mutton market is quiet. Trade for all classes of mutton has been very slow, and prices are barely maintained. The average price, to-day, for Canterbury mutton is 33d; Dunedin, Southland, andW.M. Go. mutton, B;[d. Other North Island mutton, 3jjd. Stocks of lamb on hand arc light, and are firmly held in few hands. The average price to-day for New Zealand lamb, Other than Canterbury, 4? r d. The beef market is firm. Fores, soaroe. New Zealand fores, 4.} d ; hinds, Qd. The hemp market is steady. The price of' Good Fair Wellington ' grade on Bpot to-day is SeptemberNovember shipments, JG3I, Tho cocksfoot seed market is firm. There is no pressure to sell cocksfoot seed, It is reported the American supply will bo short and inferior. New Zealand, 171b standard, 505."
